Mud-Slinger Addendum - 13/04/24 - Junior Points Match #3 - Canal Lake, Whitemoor... The Harry Cryer Show...

Hey, look, I'm not perfect, ok? There was a lot going on and, for the first time, I completely missed a junior out... (You would not believe how terrible the timing of this is!) So, as a way of making good, I formally welcome you to...

The Harry Cryer Show!!!

Peg 12: Harry Cryer: A slender figure stood next to me and squeaked, 'Can you show me how to set up my pole please?'... How could refuse? I sat and showed Harry how to use markers on the far bank, even for close range fishing and helped Harry to find a couple of good fat spots on which to fish. I got him to go full length with the pole (8.5m) to find a spot further out and he said he was comfortable with the Edge Monster going long. He was attentive and was doing everything he was advised to do, very well. Harry had a couple of bald spots (not actually on Harry, but on the far bank) at which he could chuck a feeder later on. He found a couple of good spots either side in the margins for later in the match. The match started and Harry was a blur of inactivity as everything that I had advised him to do, failed... Austin, on the next peg was catching from the off on the feeder and, maybe, Harry would have been wise to follow suit? But, he stuck religiously at the pole. It's probably fair to say that not having a full compliment of bait didn't help matters for Harry. Micro's and expanders are essential on the Canal Lake, and he said he didn't have any. A Carp and a couple of Skimmers meant that Harry topped up his silverfish total but, overall the day wasn't his. 3lbs 3ozs was an unfair reflection of how much concentration he invested into the match. Todber Manor next and I know Harry likes it there!

Apologies to Harry for missing him out, I hope this makes up for it a bit.... Juniors Sec...
