After many hours work, I can finally say that all the junior events have now been uploaded to Spond…
But, you cannot book yet!
The full fixture list is now available on the website for you to fill up your diaries for the year. (Including the yet to be confirmed river dates).
The invites will automatically be posted to you at 09:00 on the Sunday BEFORE the date of the event.
This gives you until 21:00 on the Thursday before the event date to book your junior in.
I have done this to avoid cross over and confusion. One booking for one event at a time.
Of course, if this doesn’t work out, it can be changed.
You will also receive a reminder 48 hours before each deadline. The deadlines are on Thursdays to give me time to organise coaches and to address any changes that may be required.
The only exception to this is the evening knockout matches which take place on Friday evenings and therefore everything is a day earlier, and the Christmas match at the end of November. The invite for this match will be posted earlier, and the deadline will be a week before the date of the event so that we can organise the gifts etc…
The other thing that I may have forgotten to mention is that we have officially scrapped the medals for this year in favour of vouchers for our supporting tackle shops. Using these local tackle shops is vital to keep them open because anglers are more commonly using the internet these days. It is assumed that local shops cannot compete with online prices. Give them a chance by going in and asking before you consider an online order to see if they can help you out.
